A local girl, Priyanka Mahajan, has been adjudged a ‘rising star’ at the Women of Colour STEM conference held at Detroit, USA, recently. ‘Rising Stars’ are young  women who are helping to shape technology for the future. They are honoured at a special recognition event during the Women of Color STEM.

An alumnus of Sacred Heart School of Chandigarh, Priyanka graduated with a Masters in Chemical Engineering from Illinois institute of technology, Chicago. Davinder Mahajan, a resident of Sector 4 in Mansa Devi Complex and father of Priyanka, said his daughter was a project manager with Major Enterprise Projects, DTE Energy.— TNS
