Convocation function

PKR Jain (PG) College of Education organised its convocation function on Monday. As many as 200 students were given away graduate and postgraduate degrees. Vice-Chancellor of Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University Major General Dr Ranjit Singh was the chief guest of the occasion. Rly station to go Wi-Fi

Passengers will soon get Wi-Fi facility at the Ambala Cantt railway station. A railway official on Tuesday said the facility would be made available by the end of this year. The official added that the department had received all required equipment and the installation process was under way. OC

8 pvt buses of Punjab impounded

Eight private buses with Punjab registration number were impounded for plying without permit here on Tuesday. Satish Kumar Singla, Secretary, RTA, Ambala, said “The department had received a complaint that some private buses from Punjab were plying in the city without proper documents. On the basis of the complaint, we inspected buses and found eight of these plying without permit. The buses have been impounded.” OC
