Chandigarh, August 12
The Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre (PRC) in Mohali, which trains and motivates disabled soldiers to become self sufficient, will now be known as the Paraplegic Empowerment Centre.
Lt Gen KJ Singh, GOC-in-C, Western Command, said the existing name did not match the spirit of the soldiers. Presiding over the function, Punjab PWD Minister Janmeja Singh Sekhon reiterated the commitment towards the welfare of former soldiers. and announced a grant of Rs 20 lakh for the centre. — TNS
