Patiala: Ashveen of Bhupindra Int’l shines bright

Patiala students have come out with flying colours in the CBSE Class XII results that were declared today. With a large number of students crossing the 90 per cent mark, students and schools are on a new high.

Ashveen Bansal of Bhupindra International Public School has topped Patiala by securing 97.2 per cent marks and Paramansh bagged second rank in the city by securing 96.8 per cent.

Six students - Ashween Bansal, Parmansh Singh, Sanil Garg, Aqueedat Kaur Sandhu, Harmanjeet Singh and Supreet Singh - secured more than 95 per cent marks.

Sanil Garg topped in medical with 95.4 per cent, Gursimrat secured 94 per cent and Vipneet Kaur got 93.8 per cent. Mahesh Kumar and Meenakshi Sharma topped in commerce with 91.8 per cent. Principal Indu Sharma congratulated all students and their parents. Indu stated that hard work, sincerity, perseverance and honesty were the hallmark of BIPS and this was the key to everyone’s success.

School-wise results

Budha Dal Public School

Students of Budha Dal Public School, Patiala, have excelled in the CBSE Class XII results. Out of a total of 414 students, who appeared for the examinations, 67 students have scored 90 per cent and above and 175 have scored 80 per cent and above. The school toppers are Akshdeep Kaur Dhillon with 96.8 per cent from the commerce stream, Apoorva with 95.8 per cent from humanities, Rakshay with 95.6 per cent from non-medical, and Swati Upadhaya and Maneet Kaur with 92.4 per cent from medical stream. School principal Amrit Aujla congratulated the students and staff for the spectacular result.

DAV School, Bhupindra Road

Students of Class XII have made the institution proud as out of a total of 165 students, 25 students have scored over 90 per cent marks. The pass percentage of the school was 98.8 per cent. Principal SR Prabhakar extended congratulations to the students, their parents and mentors for keeping the DAV tradition of excellence higher.

St Peter’s Academy

As many as 39 students scored 90 per cent and above marks. In the commerce stream, 11 students scored 90 per cent and above. The topper is Vivek Arora with 96.6 per cent, while Avneet Kaur is second with 95.4 per cent. Priyanka Jain is third with 94.8 per cent marks. In the science stream, Ranjana topped with 92.6 per cent. In the humanities, Mandeep Singh is the topper with 94.2 per cent. Principal Father John Bosco congratulated the staff and students for their efforts in bringing out such a brilliant result.

Ryan International School

The highest percentage achieved is in non medical by Rahul Verma (93.2 per cent), followed by Geetanjali (93.2 per cent) and Ekta (90.8 per cent) of medical stream. In commerce, the highest achievers are Rupali with 92.6 per cent, Manjot with 92.2 per cent and Harsh 92 per cent. In the humanities stream, the top scorers are Seerat Rana (90.4 per cent), Surdeep (90 per cent) and Agampartap Singh (87.8 per cent).

Akal Academy, Reet Kheri

The average percentage of the school is 79.9 per cent and 18 students out of 27 scored above 75 per cent. A total of 10 students out of a total of 81 scored 90 per cent and above. Principal Shaminderpal Kaur congratulated all students, parents and the staff as well.

Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Public School

In non-medical stream, Yukti scored 96.4 per cent. Harnoor Kaur of medical scored 93.8 per cent. Sumandeep Kaur of commerce scored 95 per cent and Gurjot Singh scored 95 per cent marks in humanities.

Scholar Fields Public School

Japneet Kaur from medical has done the school proud by scoring 94 per cent. She is followed by Harjeet Kaur Toor (92.8 per cent), Gurasees Boparai (92.8 per cent) and Karansher Randhawa (89.6 per cent). The non-medical stream also has commendable performance to its credit. Rohan Singh is the topper with 93.4 per cent, followed by Sherya (92.8 per cent), Himanshu Goyal (91 per cent) and Saaket (89.2 per cent). Harmanjeet Kaur topped in the commerce stream by scoring 92.2 per cent and Ramanpreet Kaur from humanities has topped with 92.2 per cent marks.

Police DAV Public School, Dadhera

Vani Chawla topped the school by scoring 95.2 per cent marks. She was in the non-medical stream. Parneet Kaur (non-medical) scored 91.4 per cent and Jigarjeet Singh (non-medical) scored 91 per cent. Three students scored 85 per cent and above in the commerce — Jaspreet Kaur (87.6 per cent), Jasmeet Kaur (86.3 per cent) and Ramandeep Kaur (85.6 per cent). Harsimran Bawa of arts scored 83.4 per cent and Ramanpreet Kaur got 81.6 per cent.

Blossoms Senior Secondary School

As many as 103 students appeared for the board examination and the overall pass percentage was 92.2 per cent. Hunar Ashna Bhandari has secured the first position in medical by securing 

91.4 per cent, followed by Sandeep Kaur with 85.6 per cent. In non-medical, Aashish Aggarwal has secured the first position by getting 89.6 per cent marks. Bhavit Goyal has secured second position by getting 89.4 per cent marks, followed by Ashish Jindal (89.2 per cent). In commerce, Parul Goyal has secured first position by securing 90.6 per cent, followed by Neha Rawat (88.2 per cent) and Renu Prajapat (83 per cent). Damanpreet Kaur has secured first position in humanities by securing 83 per cent.

Narain Public School

In non-medical, Arnish Grover bagged the first position by scoring 94 per cent marks, Shivani got 91 per cent and Pulkit Jain got 88 per cent marks. In medical, Mankirat Kaur got 90 per cent marks. In commerce, Tanya Kapoor got 93.4 per cent marks, Karina got 90.8 per cent marks and Prakshi got 89 per cent marks. In arts, Gurleen Kaur got 90 per cent marks.

97.2% Non-Medical

I am looking forward to get admission to the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and have been preparing for the JE examinations, scheduled to be held tomorrow, for the past several months. I have been studying for almost 10 hours every day to make sure that I score good marks. Now that the first target is achieved, I am looking forward to perform well in the entrance test so that I can go ahead with my plans.

96.2% Medical

Harmanpreet Kaur Akal Academy

  • Claim to fame: Scored 96.2 per cent marks to bag first place in the city
  • Success mantra: Used to start studying around 5 pm and continued till midnight
  • Family: Her father is in Punjab Police, mother housewife

I was a day scholar and used to return from school at 4 pm. After freshening up, I again used to start studying around 5 pm and continued till midnight. I am grateful to my teachers who have helped me in achieving this goal. I want to be a research scientist.

96.8% Commerce

Akshdeep Kaur Dhillon Budha Dal Public School

I have been fascinated by the corporate world and want to be an entrepreneur. I really don’t believe in putting in hours of study. I would just randomly start studying whenever I felt like without ignoring other things in life. The plus point was that I was interested in going into the details of all topics rather than just securing marks and I guess that is what did the trick for me.
