He has been meeting all the expenses for solemnizing these marriages of poor girls for the past around two decades. He has become an inspiration for others in doing this human welfare and noble activity.

Recently, he shouldered the responsibility of the marriage of Nisha, daughter of Prihi of Keor-Gharian village in Milkh gram panchayat of Nurpur with Rajinder Kumar of Janera village.

The marriage was celebrated in the local customary manner at the native village of the girl. He performed the ‘Kanyadaan’ ceremony of the bride.

He bore expenses for all wedding arrangements, including necessary gifts such as utensils, beddings, furniture and clothes. Then he blessed the newly wedded couple after marriage ceremony.

Last year Seth owned the financial responsibility of the marriage of Neha Devi, daughter of Des Raj of Kotpalari with Raj Kumar of Indpur in Nurpur sub division.

He revealed that he had solemnized 15 marriages of girls of poor families in the past two decades.

Seth said he had been inspired by the late Kailash Mahajan, wife of late former minister and MLA of Nurpur Sat Mahajan, who had been solemnizing marriages of girls of the poor and needy families.

“After my mother’s death in 1991, I had decided to extend financial succor to poor and solemnize the marriage of at least one girl every year. I and members of my family have been feeling satisfying after doing this noble job,” he asserted.
