Chief Minister Harish Rawat launched the website and mobile phone application (app) of Piran Kaliyar dargah, situated near Roorkee, at a function held here today.
Rawat said the shrine of Piran Kaliyar Sahib was one of the most revered shrines of the state and his government was making efforts to make better arrangements for its pilgrims, on the lines of Char Dham and Hemkund Sahib pilgrimage.
The website and android-based mobile phone app was launched on the occasion of the 747th urs of the holy dargah of Hazrat Sabir Sahib at Piran Kaliyar. Congratulating the Joint Magistrate of Roorkee, Mangesh Ghidiliyad, for making the website, the Chief Minister said all the information regarding the shrine had been incorporated in the website.
Dr Bhupinder Kaur Aulakh, secretary, Minority Welfare, was instructed to ensure appropriate drinking water, toilets and medical facilities during the ‘urs’ celebrations at Piran Kaliyar.
