The Bharatiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS) in collaboration with the Unison Cultural Troupe and Sangam Tru Art Production staged play “Bharat Desh Mahaan” on the theme of national integration and communal harmony.
The play was written and directed by ML Dogra, renowned writer and musical play director. The programme was inaugurated by Tara Singh Charak, former Deputy Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Government of India. Romesh Chander, event director, was also present.
The event commenced with patriotic songs. Earlier, in his welcome address, ML Dogra briefed about the story of the play and urged the people to come forward in making India a proud nation. All the artists and students took a pledge on the occasion to eradicate the social evils and to foster national unity.
It was informed that the sansthan had presented 74 musical plays and 113 awareness cultural shows to promote the culture of India and awareness programme on preventing of AIDS, water sanitation, national integration, rural development and save the girl child during the year. The programme was coordinated by Ayush Bhat while Deepak Kumar Dogra presented the vote of thanks.
