Points set up for sale of pulses in Faridabad

The local administration has set up seven points in the district to make pulses available on discount.

“We have started sale of various pulses through seven spots in Faridabad and Ballabgarh subdivisions,” revealed Sampat Singh, an official of the District Food and Civil Supplies here. He said while two shops had been established in Old Faridabad, one in Sector 16 and two had been set up in Ballabgarh and NIT, respectively.

Claiming the move to provide pulses at a discount rate ranging from 11 to 38 per cent had been launched as part of the state-level drive announced recently by the government, he said discounts could be provided due to involvement of wholesale merchants and dealers.
