Prof Puran Singh Dhami awards conferred

Dr Sarup Singh Alag, Chairman, Alag Shabad Yug Charitable Trust Ludhiana today awarded annual Professor Puran Singh Dhami Awards 2014-15 to 10 eminent personalities from different walks of life.

These include Dr lqbal Singh, Ex-Lt Governor, Pudducherry; Bhai Gurlqbal Singh of Bibè Kaulaan Welfare Trust, Amrltsar; Dr Sukhdev Singh Sirsa, President Punjabi Sahit Academy, Ludhiana; Kuiwindar Kaur Komal, Eminent Educationist based in UAE, Hardyal Singh Maan lPS, SSP Ferozepore; Rashminder Kaur Sarai, Barrister, UK; Rajwinderpal Slngh, Social Activist and humanist Fresno, USA; Dr Rajinder Kumar lnayat, a printing technology wizard, Chetan Singh, and social reformist Darshan Arora.

Sukhinder Pal Singh Alag, secretary general, of the Trust said now onwards Trust will encourage and highlight at least five children for rendering useful services. This year awardees are Gurjot Singh Bajaj, Gumoor Kaur, Chhaya Sharma, Kirat Kaur and Simrat Kaur. Dr Raminder Deep Singh, publication secretary of Trust announced that Trust would also recognise services of 17 such personalities who are engaged in serving humanity in various fields. In the function two books written by Dr. Alag were also released.
