Younger generation should be brought closer to Hindi literature as in today’s multi-entertainment era, they are getting drifted from basic reading habits, said Dr Hari Gopal Shastri, Vice-Chancellor of Gurukul Mahavidyalaya, here today.
He presided over a book launch function as chief guest at Pine Cryst Publc School’s auditorium. Noted literati and poet Pundit Jwala Prasad Shandilya’s book titled Vedant Sagar Man Ke Akshar Char was launched on the occasion.
Shandilya said he has tried to incorporate various moods and instances from his life experience and has tried to write it in a simple manner so that common man could understand it easily.
Dr Hari Gopal Shastri said that it was a matter of pride for the state that literati Pt Jwala Prasad resided here and penned numerous literature books, which are highly regarded in literati circle. Gurukul Kangri University Registrar, Dr Ajay Kaushik said the vision and thoughts of Pt Jwala Prasad reflected in his writing, which had a deep impact on the reader.
Academician Kuldeep Khandelwal said Hindi literature needed to be promoted in school education curriculum.
Swami Arun Das, Vineet, Ramesh Raman, Suryakant Shrivastava, Dr Sushil Kumar Tyagi, Bhartendra Bhatt, Madan Singh Yadav, Dr Naresh Mohan Gangey, Jagdeesh Sharma Shesh, Kuldeep Kumar, Shyam Bataudh, Meera Bharadwaj, Dr Sunita, Dr Nisha Sharma, VV Sharma among others were present at the book launch.
