Rai to become sports hub

Motilal Nehru School of Sports (MNSS), Rai, will become a sports hub of the state and the state government has already introduced many new schemes in the institute. This was stated by IPS Bharti Arora, director and principal, MNSS.
Addressing the media here today, she said the ‘Uthkrisht Khiladi Samman’ programme encourages players of the institute to perform well at national and international level.
She said the school bagged 67 medals at the national-level during the last academic session. “Equipment worth Rs 70 lakh is being purchased for the school, including five horses, four ponies, a diving board, a shooting training system, two imported rifles, three imported pistols and a new floor arena for the gymnasium,” said Arora.—OC
