Dehradun, April 26
The 200th foundation day of Government Senior Secondary School, Rajpur Road, was celebrated on a high note and with vibrant performances by students here yesterday.
The event began with a devotional song performed by the students, after which, the school headmaster, Hukum Singh Uniyal, gave information about the school’s activities.
Chief Minister Harish Rawat inspected the oldest government school and shared some light moments with the students. Rawat said, “This school is a heritage of the Indian education system, which shows that success is all about dedication and not funds.” He also announced help of Rs 5 lakh for welfare and Rs 51,000 for computer education facilities in the school.
