The Mata Vaishno Devi pilgrimage on Monday set a new record when the number of pilgrims performing “darshans” of the holy cave crossed 51,000. It is so far the highest figure of pilgrims on a single day.
Ajit Kumar Sahu, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, said the pilgrimage to the cave shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi on Monday set a new record when the number of pilgrims performing “darshans” of the holy cave reached 51,195. It is so far the highest figure of pilgrims on a single day.

Sahu said, despite such a large number of pilgrims, the yatra was progressing smoothly at all places, including Adh Kunwari, Sanjhi Chat and the shrine area from both the tracks.
