Record production by Chamera-II
Chamba, April 3
The NHPC’s Chamera Power Station-II has achieved a record annual generation of 1,524.08 million units (MUs) power against a target of 1,455 MUs power and record annual earnings of deviation charges of Rs 11.33 crore for 2015-16.
Disclosing this information here today, Ram Pal Sharma, General Manager of the Chamera Power Station-II, said this was the highest-ever annual generation and earnings of the power station since its commissioning in 2004.
The General Manager said while meeting the increasing requirement of electricity of the Northern Grid, the power station was also providing 12 per cent free power from its total generation capacity to the state government. — OC
