The Remount Veterinary Corps (RVC) celebrated its 237th Corps Day here on Saturday. The occasion was graced by Major General Balraj Mehta, Sena Medal, General Officer Commanding, Uttarakhand Sub-Area, in presence of veterans and serving officer, JCOs and other ranks.

Capt (retd) Joginder Singh Kahlon, a 95-year-old RVC Officer, was also present on the occasion to boost the morale of the present generation.

Capt Kahlon was born to Capt Sawan Singh (AMC) and Ram Kaur in 1921 at Kolta Kahlwan village, Lahore. He studied at Sanderson High School, Lahore, and studied veterinary science from Veterinary College, Lahore, in 1942 and joined the Indian Army Veterinary Corps in 1944. — TNS
