Fatehabad, November 15
Schoolchildren and members of the NGOs today participated in the “Run against drug addiction” organised by the State Bank of Patiala (SBoP) at Fatehabad on its 99th Foundation Day.
TD Mehta, a local philanthropist and chairman of The Olive School, flagged off the run from Panchayat Bhawan while Navjot Kaur, Tehsildar, received the participants at Papiha Park, the culmination point.
JS Wadhwa, chief manager (local branch), SBoP, said the bank had decided to raise voice against the misuse of drugs as many families in Punjab, Haryana and other states had been ruined by the menace.
Rally held in Sirsa
Sirsa: Sanjeev Goyal, District Development and Panchayat Officer, and Rajinder Ganeriwala, president of the Maharaja Agarsen Charitable Trust, flagged off a rally from Anaj Mandi in Sirsa today.
Ranjit Singh Dandiwal, manager, local SBoP branch, said such rallies would be organised in all districts of Haryana and Punjab and Chandigarh.
