The main themes around which deliberations were made during the two-day conference included technology driven decision process, crafting technology map for India, effective HR as a backbone of technology management, effective transfer of technology and futuristic technologies in Defence projects.

On the sidelines of the conference, an exhibition of DRDO developed products was organised where food products, night vision devices, bio diesel, bullet-proof jackets, extreme cold weather clothing etc were displayed.

The conference ended with a panel discussion of eminent scientists from DRDO and BARC, notable academicians and management experts, where deliberations were made to draft a technology management roadmap.

In his welcome address, M Sankar Kishore, director, ITM, emphasised the requirement of such conferences to draw a ‘technology management’ roadmap for DRDO in general and the ITM in specific.

TECHMA-15 elicited excellent response and met its objective of bringing together practitioners of DRDO, other R&D organisations and academicians from industry to share their best practices and synergise their knowledge in the field of technology management.

Around 80 delegates from DRDO, various scientific organisations and academia attended the conference.
