Mahant Surendra Nath Avdhoot from the Avdhoot Mandal ashram says Yogi Adityanath is his ‘dharam bhai’ (brother by religion) and will call him to Uttarakhand to offer prayers to the deity Ganga at Har-ki-Pauri.

Shri Mahant Narendra Giri Maharaj, national president of the Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad, said, “Ancient shrines and other places of pilgrimage are sure to be developed and renovated with a saint at helm in Uttar Pradesh. Though his workplace is Uttar Pradesh, he is Uttarakhandi by birth and family connection. The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister will surely come to the hill state soon”.

Swami Satyamitranand Giri, founder of Bharat Mata Temple, hoped that it would be an era of development during Yogi Adityanath’s tenure and there would be a better understanding between the Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh governments.

Meanwhile, the Guru Gorakshanath Trader Committee distributed sweets among people. At Yogi Guru Gorakshanath Akhara, Upper Road, office-bearers and devotees are in a jubilant mood since yesterday when reports surfaced about Yogi Adityanath’s elevation.

Pundit Gangai Nath said not only people associated with the Yogi Guru Gorakshanath Akhada, but also residents, devotees, pilgrims and tourists are enquiring and visiting the Akhara, which is linked with the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh.
