Seminar marks end of Power Grid’s ‘Swachh Bharat Pakhwada’

Power Grid Corporation of India Limited observed the ‘Swachh Bharat Pakhwada’ from May 1 to 16 in all its offices falling under the Northern Region Transmission System-II.
The objective of the drive was to create awareness among the masses to keep their surroundings clean. During the initiative, several programmes were organised in various schools and colleges, apart from site offices, highlighting importance of cleanliness.
On the concluding day, a seminar was organised at the Power Grid Regional Headquarters in Jammu where Simrandeep Singh, DC, Jammu, Anil Jain, Executive Director, Northern Region-II, and senior officials of the Power Grid were present.
Dr Neelika Arora gave a presentation on the effects of the mission and explained the importance of cleanliness in our lives.
Simrandeep Singh thanked the Power Grid authorities for giving him the opportunity to be a part of the initiative. He gave details of steps being taken by the Jammu district administration to ensure a cleaner and greener Jammu. Earlier, Anil Jain welcomed the dignitaries and gave a detail of activities undertaken by the organisation during the drive. At the end of the seminar, prizes were distributed to winners of various competitions.
