In order to provide efficient and transparent governance to the people at their doorsteps, Dera Bassi MLA NK Sharma inaugurated a Sewa Kendra at Sundran village near here.
“This is a step towards ensuring governance reforms in the state. These centres will act as a catalyst to help people in getting their routine administrative works done in a speedy manner,” said NK Sharma while addressing people during the inauguration of the kendra.
Sharma said this step of the government would prove beneficial for the people as from now onwards they would be able to get benefits of public services without any delay.
These kendras would minimise public interaction with various offices and enhance efficiency of the administration and delivery of services to the common people, the MLA said.
NK Sharma said these sewa kendras would be one-stop shop to avail the entire gamut of citizen-centric services of all departments under one roof and basic services, including providing birth and death certificates, marriage certificates, banking services, voter cards, etc. He urged people to take maximum benefits from these sewa kendras.
While replying to a query, the MLA said: “Rival parties are just doing vote bank politics. In reality, the state has witnessed a huge development in power, education, administrative reforms, roads and infrastructure sectors in the past nine years at the grassroots level”.
