Governor NN Vohra and First Lady Usha Vohra attended a music concert organised by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations and Global Peace Initiative of Women at the Government College for Women, MA Road, here today.

The audience was enthralled by mesmerising performance of Davood Azad, an accomplished Iranian classical and Azeri folk singer, and by the performances of local Kashmiri artistes, Waheed Jeelani and Ustad Mushtaq Saaz Nawaz.

The Governor complimented vocalists and instrumentalists for performances and thanked GPIW and AR Nazki, Regional Director, ICCR, for enabling a wonderful evening. — TNS

CRPF Addl DG calls on Governor 
S Shrivastava, Additional Director General, CRPF, J&K Zone, called on Governor NN Vohra here today. Shrivastava briefed him about the area and parameters of his operational responsibilities in the state. The Governor urged Shrivastava to get familiar with the area in which his troops were deployed and maintain strict vigilance on all fronts.
