Sirsa, April 5
The city residents have resented the closure of complaint centres by the Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) and have demanded its revival. The Sirsa Welfare Association has written to CM Manohar Lal Khattar as well as the power authorities urging them to start the centres again.
The DHBVN has closed the centres in the state and had constituted a centralised complaint centre in Guragon where complaints from all districts are received now.
The DHBVN has released a toll free number 1800-180-4334 for complaints regarding the power supply.
Advocate RSD Bansal, president of the association, alleged that the residents face a lot of hardships in registering their complaints at the centralised centre the telephone lines are always busy.
Even when one gets through the registration is a cumbersome, difficult and time consuming process which is almost impossible for illiterate persons.
“Only two days ago, a flour mill in Sanjay Colony caught fire due to a short circuit and it took half an hour to get the power lines disconnected,” he alleged.
RK Verma, SE, said that the centres had been closed several months ago though the one here continued till February.
The complaint registration is simple and easy for everyone, he maintained.
