Srinagar, March 23
The Department of Urology at Sher-I-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences SKIMS will hold its 19th Post Graduate Research Presentation (PGRP) from March 27 till March 29.
A total of 120 research papers will be presented by the post-graduate, post-doctoral and PhD students of SKIMS in Soura, SKIMS Medical College, Bemina, GMC Srinagar and other associated hospitals.
Director SKIMS Dr Showkat Zargar said the event provided a platform to all the post-graduates, post-doctoral and PhD students, who had completed their research thesis.
“SKIMS have been providing all the possible resources to students and researchers and to continue making new innovations in the future. Innovations through research will help in improving patient-care system,” he added. Dr Saleem Wani, Organising Chairman and HOD Urology, SKIMS, will conduct the event.
He said the academic event provided an open platform to all the post-graduates, post-doctoral students of all the associated hospitals to present their work and interact with experts in their respective fields.
Organising Secretary of the event Dr Arif Hamid, Additional Professor, Urology, said 120 research papers would be presented and the best three research papers would be awarded based on the subject content, study design, statistical methodology presentation and time management.
The programme will be attended by faculty members, post-graduates, post-doctoral students, senior residents, junior residents, other guests and dignitaries.
The inaugural function of the conference will be held at the SKIMS auditorium. Khurshid Andrabi, VC of Kashmir University will be the chief guest on the occasion. — TNS
