Chandigarh: Efforts have been initiated to resolve the issue over a song that had affected Jat-Brahmin ties during the recent Jat quota agitation. "On a call by the Kandela khap, representatives of more than 15 khap panchayats attended a meeting in Jind today. Everyone expressed concern over the damage caused by the song issue," said Tek Ram Kandela, national convener of khap panchayats. "All speakers condemned the incident. It was unanimously resolved to constitute a committee to resolve the issue," he said. Bhagwan Das Sharma, president of Brahmin Sabha, Narender Singh, president of Haryana Bairagi Sabha, Dalip Bhardwaj, president of Brahmin Samaj, Satbir Sharma, Dalbir Singh Bibipur and other prominent members of the two communities attended the meeting.
