SOS International takes up refugee issues with Governor

Jammu, April 20
A delegation of the SOS International led by its president Rajiv Chuni called on Governor NN Vohra at Raj Bhawan here today.
The delegation put forth various demands relating to persons displaced from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) which included registration of displaced families left out, according refugee status, one-time financial settlement, reservation in professional and technical colleges in India, reserving eight Assembly seats, grant of state subject status to those residing outside the state, application of Displaced Persons Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 1954 and constitution of PoK Diplaced Persons’ Development Board.
The Governor assured the delegation that their demands would be taken up with the Central and state governments. The delegation comprised Dr Gurmeet Singh, JS Mangal, Lalit Kumar, Yog Raj Raina, Roshan Lal, Roshan Malhotra, Mohit Puria, Virender Khajuria, Harjeet Singh, Sat Paul Lakha and Raghunandan Bali.
