The National Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding Championship organised by the Winter Games Federation of India (WGFI), Himachal Pradesh Winter Games Association (HPWGA) and Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports, Manali, concluded at Solang Ski Slopes, 13 km from here, today.
Ski teams from High Altitude Warfare School (HAWS), (Gulmarg), Army, ITBP, M and SI, (Auli), Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering and Allied Sports, Manali, Indian Institute of Skiing and Mountaineering (Gulmarg), Garwal Mandal Vikas Nigam, J&K Winter Games Association, Nehru Institute of Mountaineering (Uttarakhand), Winter Games Association of Punjab, UP and Himachal Winter Games Association participated in the championship. The number of participants stood at 200. Skiers from the Indian Army and Himachal Pradesh teams won the most number of medals in different ski and snowboarding events.
Results: Slalom (men): Sunil Kumar (HAWS) 1; Sunny Kumar (Army) 2 and Asif Aziz Zieger (Army) 3.

Snowboarding slalom (men junior): Zubair Ahmed (IISM) 1; Ankit Thakur (HP) 2 and Pankaj Thakur (HP) 3. Giant slalom (men): Hira Lal (HP) 1; Debendra Gurung (Army) 2 and Sanjay Thakur (HP) 3. Giant slalom (women): Aanchal Thakur (HP) 1; Sandhaya Thakur (HP) 2 and Varsha Thakur (HP) 3.
Giant slalom snowboarding (senior): Lil Bahadur Thapa (Army) 1; Kamal Jeet (HP) 2 and Karan Singh (Army) 3. Giant slalom snowboarding (junior): Zubair Ahmed (IISM) 1; Pankaj Thakur (HP) 2 and Rinku Thakur (HP) 3.
