Step up security to check crime rate: SSP

SSP Sadanand Datte today directed police officials to step up security in their areas to check the crime rate.

He was addressing a gathering after inaugurating the newly constructed administrative block at Sabhawal police post and a residential complex at Selaqui police post here today.

He said the newly opened police posts would prove beneficial to address grievances of villagers living in the fringe areas of Sabhawala, Selaqui and Shimla bypass.

The SSP ordered the launch of a traffic awareness drive on the Dehradun-Paonta Sahib highway.

He asked police officials to challan traffic rule violators. He ordered night patrolling in the rural areas to check burglary and loot cases.

SP (Rural) GC Dhyani, CO, Vikasnagar, Swapan Kishore Singh and SHO Yashpal Bisht attended the function.
