Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal today condemned the bomb attack on a gurdwara in Germany in which three persons were injured. He urged the External Affairs Minister to take up the issue of the safety of Sikhs and their religious places with the German government.
In a statement issued here, SAD president Sukhbir said the attack called for concerted efforts to sensitise people across the world about Sikh religion and its unique concepts of peace and universal brotherhood.
Sukhbir said the Union Government should also ask its embassy in Germany to provide immediate help to the injured as well as work with the local Sikh community to assist in rebuilding the Sikh shrine.
Describing the attack on a gurdwara in Germany as a detestable act, Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh and Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Avtar Singh Makkar today asked the Punjab Government to approach Germany for action against the culprits.
