Sunjuwan KV celebrates Population Day

World Population Day was celebrated at Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) Sunjuwan. Students of the vidyalaya participated in debate, essay-writing and slogan-writing competitions.

Earier, the programme began with a brief introduction on the importance of celebration of the day for promotion of crucial issues such as importance of family planning, including gender equality, poverty, maternal health and human rights.

The theme of the debate competition was “Should there be control on population of India or not”. Manisha, Rahila and Damini secured first, second and third positions, respectively.

In the slogan-writing completion, Sushmita was declared the winner. The programme was conducted by Sanket Kaul and coordinated by Shakuntala Kotwal. Officiating Principal Sushma Jain congratulated the winners and organisers.
