Three Bhiwani girls win gold in boxing c’ship

Three Bhiwani girls — Pooja Bohra (81 kg), Jyoti Grewal (60 kg) and Nupur Sheoran (75 kg) — won gold medals in their respective categories in the State Boxing Championship held at Panchkula from October 18 to 21.
Pooja was named the best boxer of the championship. She said they were preparing for the National Women’s Boxing Championship scheduled to be held in Haridwar on November 19.
Lauding the victory of the girls, Sanjay Sheoran, coach at Captain Hawa Singh Academy here, said women boxers had a great potential to perform better. All players were given a rousing welcome after they reached Bhiwani today.
