Tributes paid to Dyal Singh Majithia

On 118th death anniversary of Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, the founder of The Tribune Trust, Dyal Singh College and Dyal Singh Library Trusts, students and staff members of Dyal Singh Public School, main branch, Dyal Singh Public School, Sector-7 and Dyal Singh College paid tributes to him.

Students of various schools participated in an inter-school ‘bhagti sangeet’ competition organised by Dyal Singh Public School, main branch. Similarly, a blood donation camp was organised at Dyal Singh College in which 120 students donated blood.

Prof BR Gulati (retired), General Manager, Dyal Singh College Trust Society, was the chief guest at the ‘Bhagti Sangeet’ competition, while SP Pankaj Nain chaired the blood donation camp.

Gulati said Sardar Majithia dedicated his life for the welfare of society. Describing him as a great visionary, Ramesh Lather, principal, said lakhs of students had availed education due to his efforts.

While addressing the students, Dr KL Gosain, principal, Dyal Singh College, encouraged the students to follow footsteps of this great visionary. He devoted his life for providing education to all, he added.
