Two books entitled, “Swachh Bharat Checklist” and “How a good person can really win” authored by renowned writer and entrepreneur Pavan Choudhry, an alumnus of Himachal Pradesh University, were released here today.
“Swachh Bharat Checklist” with Kiren Bedi as co-author is a sequel to his book “Broom and Groom” focusing on hygiene and manners published in 2012 and aimed at promoting awareness on cleanliness.
“The book is a guide to cleaning home, colonies, parks, schools, institutes, offices, restaurants, shopping areas, bus stand, railway station and roads,” Choudhry said while interacting with mediapersons about the contents of the books.
Throwing light on his second book “How a good person can really win”, Choudhry said the book was a “help guide” for ethical persons. The book identifies three grounds for defeat: the ethical could not comprehend how the immoral think, work or make their move, lack fighting skills and do not know how to act.
Inspired by Chanakya Niti, the author says that the aim of the book is to benefit principled people to win and march forward in life without diluting their values and learn tricks to convert weakness into strength and also concentrate on power of friendship.
Choudhry, who is also MD of Vygon, a French multinational company, said he chose Shimla to release his books as his socio-political awakening originated from here.
