Jammu, January 28
General secretary of the Panthers Trade Union Sewa Singh Bali has urge the government to regularise the services of all the SPOs and VDC members who have been working for the last more than 15 years in J&K.
In a statement, Bali alleged that the SPOs, who had been fighting against militants for the last several years, were being denied their rights.
“The matter has already been taken up with the, Director General of Police (DGP), J&K, and he has promised that the issue will be addressed soon,” he said.
He said the Central Government had started four-laning of the national highway from Nashri towards Banihal, but the local youth were being denied an employment opportunity in it. — TNS
