The Uttarakhand Parivartan Party (UPP) has asked the state government to provide adequate medical relief to statehood agitator Baba Mathura Prasad Bamrara, who is undergoing treatment at the Doon Hospital.

A delegation of the UPP met Bamrara at the hospital. UPP district president Gyanveer Tyagi said Bamrara took part in several agitations linked to general public welfare and should be given the best medical care.

UPP leader Kuldeep Madhwal said the party would stage an agitation if ailing Bamrara was not provided the best medical treatment.

UPP spokesman Bhargav Chandola, Sheela Rawat and CP Sharma were party of the UPP delegation that met Bamrara at the hospital.
