Valley’s first food-delivery app launched
Srinagar, March 12
KartFood- Kashmir’s first online food-delivery service, which was started by two young boys a month ago, has launched its android application to serve the growing demand.
Catering to the needs of foodies all across the city, the two young boys, Amir Bashir Dar and Furqan Qureshi, both 19, started the first-of-its kind food-delivery service a month back by first taking orders over telephone. After receiving an overwhelming response from foodies all across the city, the boys have now come up with an android application which was launched today. Through this app, people can now book orders from the city’s restaurants by a touch of finger.
“When our city is facing traffic issues and it gets difficult to go out and eat, we decided to deliver quality food at doorsteps with minimal charges. We are delivering all across Srinagar for now and will expand to semi-urban markets very soon,” said Amir Bashir Dar, co-founder, KartFood.
KartFood has partnered with nearly 10 restaurants from Srinagar and is planning to expand the list in the coming days.
“Being the first client of KartFood, I believe this is one of the much-needed initiatives for food lovers of Kashmir. It has increased my business and my customers can enjoy delicious food at their home,” said Javid Parsa, proprietor of ‘Kathi Junction’, one of the famous food joints in the city. — TNS
