The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has demanded a Lord Rama temple at Ayodhya on the lines of the Somnath temple in Gujarat. The VHP has also demanded renovation of all Hindu temples which were damaged or broken by Mughal rulers.

In a two-day Virat Hindu Samagam at Devpura-based Bharat Sewa Ashram here today, VHP national spokesperson Surendra Jain said with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath being at the helm of power, this was the right time to set stage for construction of a grand Lord Ram temple at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya.

Fire brand VHP leader Jain said the way saffron colour swept Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, in the coming days in 11 more states where Assembly elections are due prior to 2019 parliamentary elections, the BJP would also attain power.

Lauding Narendra Modi’s tough stance on terrorism, Jain said due to the previous Congress government’s weak foreign policies, terrorists spread their wings but now they were getting a befitting reply from the Army and the police.

Revered spiritual guru Kalipeethadheeshwar Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashanand Maharaj said now no one could stop construction of Lord Rama temple at Ayodhya.

He said with the Hindu New Year, high hopes of a grand temple at Ayodhya among Lord Rama devotees had gained momentum which both PM Narendra Modi and UP CM Yogi Adityanath could deliver.

Bajrang Dal divisional co-coordinator Anuj Walia said with the Supreme Court suggesting for mediation, its high time both Hindus and Muslims resolve the issue amicably, urging Muslims to give up their claim and pave way for the Lord Rama temple in Ayodhya.
