Vij receives birthday wishes, courtesy fake FB account

Ambala, October 17

Health Minister Anil Vij today filed a police complaint in connection with his fake Facebook account.

“It has come to my notice that someone has created my fake Facebook account using my picture and name. The person operating the account must be identified and dealt with as per law,” Vij said in his complaint.

He learnt about the fake account on Sunday night when he received birthday wishes. His birthday falls on some other day.

After locating the fake id, Vij took to Twitter and Facebook to inform people about his fake account. He shared the link of the account.

The minister later told the media, “Someone has opened a fake Facebook account. Many people have liked the account mistakenly. To make sure that no wrong post gets updated and published with my name, I have filed a police complaint.”

Suresh Kaushik (ACP) said, “The police have received the complaint. The matter is under investigation.” — OC
