SK Memorial Hospital will hold a week-long free health camp here from June 14. Hospital director Dr Ajay Khanna said at a media conference here today that residents of the city could avail of all facilities at the health camp.

He said due to commercialization of health services, common people were unable to avail of better health and medical facilities due to high costs, while government health services, particularly in the hills, were in shambles.

He claimed that his hospital would provide top class health services at reasonable rates. “We have decided to give free health services to BPL card holders in our hospital,” he said. The people covered under the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance Scheme would also be given free health services.

Dr Khanna said the hospital had an international-level intensive care unit (ICU) with nine latest dialysis machines.

Senior Congress leader Suryakant Dhasmana, director of the hospital Rohini Khanna, plastic surgeon Madhubani Vatsalya, orthopaedic surgeon RK Singh, ENT specialist Naveen Shukla and Dr Siddarth Khanna were present on the occasion.
