Women Cong workers protest LPG price hike

Dehradun, March 5
Workers of the Uttarakhand Women Congress staged a demonstration in Dehradun on Saturday against the recent hike in the prices of LPG gas cylinders.
The Congress workers, led by Mahanagar Dehradun Congress president Kamlesh Raman, gathered at the Kuchery here and staged a demonstration. They raised slogans against the Central government.
The protesters alleged that the increase in LPG cylinder prices would adversely affect the day-to-day budget of housewives. They demanded an immediate roll back in the prices of the LPG cylinders.
The Congress women workers also submitted a memorandum to a district official demanding rollback of the price hike.
Dehradun Mahanagar Women Congress president Nazma Khan, Pushpa Panwar, Chandrakala Negi and Anuradha Tiwari also took part in the protest.
