Chandigarh: Enactus, Dr SS Bhatnagar University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology, PU, organised a workshop on financial literacy and commercial development for phulkari artisans living in the slum areas of Jagatpura.
The workshop was organised in collaboration with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). Financial Education Trainer, SEBI, Dr Monika Aggarwal highlighted the need of financial education for the uplift of underprivileged societies. She said a well-educated household resorts to regular savings, which in turn would lead to investment in the right channels and income generation. — TNS
