Workshop on ultrasound-guided nerve block

Chandigarh: The third satellite workshop and hands-on course on ultrasound-guided nerve blocks was held at the PGI on March 5-6. It was organised by the Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care, PGI, under the chairmanship of Prof GD Puri. Prof Nav Parkash Sandhu from the USA was the course director. Dr Deepal Sidhu and Dr Mamta Thukral, both from the USA, were also part of the international faculty who demonstrated various types of nerve blocks with ultrasonography and highlighted advantages of ultrasound in the field of local anaesthesia and postop pain relief. Prof Sandhu gave live demonstration of different nerve blocks for conducting surgeries. — TNS
