World Music Day celebrated
Patiala: World Music Day was celebrated by a group of renowned doctors here yesterday.
The festival was established in France by former French Culture Minister Jack Lang rooted on the idea of having “music everywhere”. The programme was organised at a studio owned by Dr Sukhdip S Boparai, leading eye surgeon and guitarist. Dr Sudhir Verma, president, IMA, Patiala, Dr Bhagwant Singh, secretary, IMA, Patiala, Dr Ravinder, Dr Brijesh Modi, Dr Rakesh Arora, Dr Ruby, Dr Azad Shatru, Dr HS Wealthy, Dr Gaurav Monga, Dr Shelly Gautam and Dr Geetanjali gave performances on the occasion. “The whole idea is to have a group that enjoys music and help distress,” says Boparai. — TNS
