Olympics medallist Yogeshwar Dutt was engaged to Sheetal, a local resident, here this evening. Health and Sports Minister Anil Vij and Urban Local Bodies Minister Kavita Jain, former MP Arvind Sharma and wrestlers from Russia were among others who attended the engagement ceremony.
Yogeshwar’s mother Shushila Devi said that she had accepted only Re 1 during the engagement ceremony. “The marriage will be solemnised on Monday here and no dowry will be accepted in the marriage,” she added. The family has invited Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda, state ministers, MPs and MLAs to attend the marriage. — OC
