The state government today appointed law officers for the Srinagar wing of the Jammu and Kashmir High Court for conducting cases on behalf of the state.
According to an order issued by the government, NA Beigh was appointed as the Senior Additional Advocate General while Nisar Hussain Shah, Reyaz Ahmad Khan, Shahbaz Sikandar, Majid Aftab Wani, Mohammad lqbal Dar and Moksha Qazmi were appointed as the Additional Advocates General.
Similarly, Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din Reshi, Syed Sajjad Geelani, Sajjad Mir, Shah Aamir, Qazi Rashid Shamas and Tufail Qadri were appointed as the Deputy Advocates General.
The government appointed Sajad Mohi-ud-Din, Javid Sathu, Tariq Ahmad Lone, Hakeem Amaan Ali and Asif Maqbool as the government advocates
Meanwhile, the government accepted the resignation of eight law officers with immediate effect. They were Shahvar Gowhar, Additional Advocate General, Manzoor Ahmad Sheikh, Deputy Advocate General, Irfan Andleeb, Deputy Advocate General, Khalid Hameed, Deputy Advocate General, Owais Geelani, Shazia Shahnaz, Anees-ul-lslam and Danish Mufti, all government advocates.
