Cheque-bounce cases: Ind Swift top bosses get bail

Six top bosses of the Industrial Area-based pharmaceuticals manufacturing firm Ind Swift Ltd, who were granted one-year rigorous imprisonment each in two cheque bounce cases, have been granted bail on surety bond of Rs 30,000 each from a local court.
A firm official, who have now got the order copy of the bail order, stated they would be moving the District and Sessions Court for the suspension of the sentence.
The court has suspended the sentence of the accused for a period of one month till December 9 and has directed them to produce the order of appellate court regarding further suspension of sentence on or before the said date or to appear on the date for the execution of the sentence.
Company chairman Sanjeev Rai Mehta, managing director & CEO Dr Gopal Munjal, vice-chairman Nav Rattan Munjal, joint managing director Dr Vikrant Rai Mehta, director Himanshu Jain and director Rishav Mehta were awarded the sentence and were asked to pay a compensation equivalent to the total check amount of Rs 1.76 crore to Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI).
