Now, know status of cases in SDM court online

Chandigarh, October 30

As part of its e-District initiative, the Chandigarh Administration today launched four new services, namely publication of daily cause list of three SDM courts, status of the case and copy of final order, issuance of legal heir certificate and request for grievance redressal.

All these services would be available at e-Sampark centres. However, the status of court cases and copy of final orders will be also available online at chdservices.gov.in

Under the initiative, officials of the court of the SDM and Assistant Estate Officer concerned will start entering upcoming cases into the software. The residents will be able to get print of the daily cause list, know the status of cases and obtain a copy of final order of judgment. Similarly, the existing application of the grievance has been completely revamped to the latest technology platform.

Deputy Commissioner Ajit Balaji Joshi said, “In future also, efforts would be made to bring more services of the UT Administration in the electronic mode. Thrust would be to ensure transparency in service delivery and residents’ satisfaction.”

SB Deepak Kumar, Secretary, Information Technology (IT), said, “We started this initiative in August this year and this is the third month in a row when we launched services through e-Sampark centres under the e-District. All certificates issued are digitally signed. We are working on making these certificates available through digital locker. Digital locker will eliminate the use of physical documents and will enable sharing of certificates across government agencies.” — TNS
