Petition against Mallika Sherawat dismissed

The Court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Shalini Nagpal today dismissed an appeal filed against actress Mallika Sherawat for hurting nationalistic sentiments.
The petitioner Sonia Mattu, a social activist had moved the Additional sessions court after thepetition was earlier dismissed by the lower court on January 9.
The Court of ADJ today upheld the order of the lower court and dismissed the appeal.
The petition filed against actor Mallika Sherawat accused her of showing disrespect to the Tricolour.
The petition, filed by a social activist last year, referred to a poster of a film, ‘dirty politics’, in which the actress was seen draped in the Tricolour.
The petitioner said the poster hurt the nationalistic sentiments.
