Bhatia is a resident of Rewalsar. He said the serial would continue for another two years and after that he would try his luck in films.

Ravi played the lead role in “Hamari Beti Raj Karegi”, and also acted in several other serials, including “Bandhe Ek Dori Se”, “Raja Ki Ayagi Baraat” and took part in a reality show as well.

He said he got name and fame only from the role of Salim, which he grabbed after defeating 11 contestants.

To youngsters, who want to try luck in the film industry, he said they should first do a course in acting before entering Mumbai due to a fierce competition.

He said he had to struggle for four years, as he had not taken any prior training.
