Mussoorie, May 3
Forest and Sports Minister Dinesh Agarwal inaugurated a creative laboratory at St. George’s College in Mussoorie yesterday.
The creative lab is designed by Image Infotainment Limited India to enhance creativity in students and help them in their careers by providing them added technical skills during their schooling here.
Dinesh Agarwal said the lab called ‘Image Minds’ would help in improving creative skills in students through the use of the modern technology. He asked the lab designers to plan something similar for the students of Hindi medium schools so that they could also benefit from the technology.
Students presented several cultural items that were appreciated by the audience. Principal of St. George’s College Bro Tommy Verghese said the school and Image Minds would open the doors of creative education in Uttarakhand. “The school has collaborated with Image Infotainment Ltd to set up this lab where students will face a whole new world that fosters creative thinking and equips them with techniques to express themselves better,” he said.
The Image Minds lab would impart creative learning to students of class 1 to XII in drawing, cartoon creation, digital painting, 3D designing, photography, animations, videography, game designing, acting and fashion designing. The company would take the responsibility of hiring the right staff and setting up facilities, including design studios, audio studios, graphic studios and green matte studios.
