The UT police arrested three persons for allegedly thrashing Dharminder Singh, resident of 821, EWS Colony, Dhanas. Singh alleged that Kuldeep, resident of Village-Rajlu in Panipat, Naveen Kumar, resident of Sirmour in Himachal Pradesh, Parveen, resident of Sirmour, Vinod and Dhamma thrashed him up near the Congress Bhawan, Sector 35, on Tuesday.
Motorcycle thefts
Lovepreet Singh, resident of Naya Gaon, reported that his motorcycle (HR-01-AA-4529), parked near the Leisure Valley, Sector 10, had been stolen. Similarly, Devinder, resident of Dhanas, alleged that his motorcycle (CH-01-AA-2509) was stolen from near his residence. In another case, Shamsher Singh, resident of Sector 40, reported that his Verna car (CH-04C-6738) has been stolen from outside his residence.
48 liquor bottles seized, one arrested
The Chandigarh Police today arrested a local resident for possessing liquor bottles. Accused Vijay was arrested from the market at Dhanas and 48 quarters of country wine were recovered from his possession. A case under the excise act has been registered at the local police station. He was released on bail. In another case, Pankaj, a resident of Dhanas, was arrested with 12 bottles of country wine. A case has been registered.
A sector 45-based Nadeem was arrested for consuming liquor at a public place.
